Lawyers representing Hon. Fonati Koffa and other lawmakers recently filed a bond in connection with the ongoing arson case that led to their release from prison.

However, state prosecutors have raised objections, arguing that the bond does not meet the legal requirements as prescribed by law.

As a result, the prosecution is requesting the court to order the incarceration of the lawmakers until a valid bond is filed and approved in accordance with the law.

A hearing into the matter is currently being looked at by the court.
