
Speaker Koon Embarks on Official Visit to the Republic of Guinea
The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Liberia, Honorable Richard Nagbe Koon, has commenced a two-day official visit to the Republic of Guinea. Upon arrival at the Guinea–Sierra Leone border, the Speaker was received by Guinean joint security officials and formally welcomed by members of the National Assembly of Guinea.
Following a brief reception, Speaker Koon and his delegation proceeded to the capital, Conakry, where they are expected to engage in high-level discussions aimed at strengthening parliamentary diplomacy between the two nations. Central to the visit is the advancement of dialogue around the establishment of a Mano River Union Parliamentary body.
Speaker Koon is accompanied by a delegation from the House of Representatives, including Honorable Nekher Gaye, Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs; Honorable Austin Taylor, Chair of the Committee on Maritime; and Honorable Samson Wiah, Co-Chair on Maritime Affairs.
