MoH Senior Management Team Meets with GAVI Delegation.

(Congo Town, June 2, 2025)—A high-power delegation from the Vaccine Alliance (GAVI) based in Geneva, Switzerland, today met with the Ministry of Health (MOH) 's senior management team to discuss ongoing implementation strategies for GAVI-supported projects.

The meeting focused on strengthening the nation’s immunization programs and addressing urgent public health concerns, particularly amid the current Mpox outbreak.

The delegation comprised Dr. Marthe Sylvie EssengueElouma, Regional Head for West and Central Africa; Riswana Soundardjee, Senior Country Manager; Narayan Nathani, Senior Manager of Portfolio Financial Management; and Ava Wildeis, Programme Manager.

The GAVI delegation is expected to embark on a field assessment mission in the southeastern region of the country to evaluate the project impact and identify areas for further support.

Health Minister, Dr. Louise M. Kpoto, in response, expressed gratitude to GAVI for its continuous support to the nation’s health sector.

She expressed the Ministry’s commitment to working collaboratively with global partners to ensure that essential vaccines and healthcare services reach the most vulnerable population across the country.
