Witchcraft Against Education’: Students Slam Rep. Cole Over Library Scandal
"BONSU CALL ON HON. JOSIAH MARVIN COLE TO IMMEDIATELY AND EFFECTIVELY COMPLETES THE STUDENTS’ LIBRARY PROJECT OR RETURNS THE STUDENTS’ MASSES MONEY!
Comrades and friends, ideological cadres and militants, conscious gladiators of the forward-most indomitable Bong County Students Union – BONSU, solidarity forces, revolutionary intellectuals, disciples of academic freedom, social justice and peace, sons and daughters of the struggling market women and struggling fathers, residents of the slum communities and of course progressive journalists.
The Bong students’ Union –BONSU is deeply concerned and regrets the actions of Rep. Cole for playing BLIND and neglecting the Library project which he claims years ago although the money was taken from the County Social Development Fund.
It can be recalled that, in November of 2018, the County Council approved the Library projects after an appeal from former Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor US $50,000 was allotted for the project.
As we speak the project which is constructed in the Gboveh Hills Community behind the Bong County Technical College, stop at its roofing level and is currently being used as placed for open defecation and other insane activities.
Currently the wall is even falling apart. The project which was meant for students’ research to enhance or further smooth their learning activities and help prepared senior students for their national exam has been abandoned by the law maker.
It is noted that, on Saturday, September 12, 2022, Rep. Cole reported ordered the remaining materials to be taken from the house it was kept in, after failing to pay the house owner money as it was negotiated between them, to a place known by he and his surrogates.
The Bong County Students’ Union, which is the mother students’ union responsible for all students in the county, see Rep. Cole action as being Witchcraft and an individual who is careless about the future of Bong County Students.
We are here strongly demanding Rep. Cole to complete the project as soon as possible or provide thorough accountability to the students populace of the county, failure to do so let him, with a MUST aspect an unspecified revolutionary action from the students’ masses"
