Barclay Training Center, Monrovia (July 10, 2025) - The Department of Public Affairs of the Ministry of National on Thursday. July 10, completed phase two of a weeklong coordination engagement with various departments within the Ministry.
Phase one of the engagement brought together Assistant Ministers and Directors, the Public Affairs Section of the AFL, including sectional heads, while phase two was held with the general staff of the Ministry.
These engagements, according to the Assistant Defence Minister for Public Affairs Hon. Oscar F. Mulbah aimed to harmon internal coordination, foster transparency and trust among the staff while ensuring they understand the Department’s responsibilities and communication channels.
Key topics discussed during the engagements included: The Importance of Public Relations and its significance to institutional growth, and
The duties and functions of the Department of Public Affairs, and a presentation of the Assistant Minister's for Public Affairs work plan covering the period between June to December, 2025.
The engagement also focused on equipping the staff with insights into managing relationships with the public and informing them responsibly.
These collaborative efforts engender a significant step towards strengthening communications, understanding roles, and building a more cohesive work environment at the Ministry of National Defense.
The Department of Public Affairs plays a vital role in articulating the plans and policies of the Ministry of National Defense and the Armed Forces of Liberia.
