CDC Evicted from Grand Bassa Headquarters Due to Unpaid Rent.

The Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has been evicted from its Grand Bassa County headquarters in Buchanan following allegations of prolonged rent non-payment.

According to the property owner, the party failed to pay rent for nearly two years, leading to the termination of their lease agreement and subsequent eviction. The landlord expressed frustration, stating, “I waited for too long without any results.

They consistently failed to honor the lease, and I had no choice but to reclaim my property.” The former CDC office, a key political hub in Grand Bassa, now sits vacant with a “For Lease” sign at the entrance, and contact information is available for interested parties.

Local residents reacted mixed, with some sympathizing with the landlord’s decision while others found the situation embarrassing for a leading political party.

As of press time, CDC officials in the county had not released an official statement addressing the eviction or future plans for a county office.

The eviction raises questions about the party’s financial management at the county level as the political season gains momentum.
