The National Elections Commission (NEC), informs the public that the Candidate Nomination Exercise for the 2025 District – 5 Representative By – election in Nimba County begins on Monday, 23 June 2025 at the headquarters of the Commission on 9th Street, Sinkor.
The Nimba County District – 5 Representative By – election Candidate Nomination Exercise ends on Friday, 4 July 2025.
All Chairpersons, and Secretaries General or any authorized Executive Member of Political Parties will be permitted to pick up candidate nomination packages for aspirants contesting the election.
The NEC further announces that Independent Aspirants must appear in person to pick up their candidate nomination package or send an authorized person on the compound of the Commission in Sinkor.
The candidate nomination exercise runs from Monday to Friday, from 9AM to 5PM daily. This exercise is in line with the Key Dates released for the Nimba County District – 5 Representative By – election slated for Tuesday, 12 August 2025.
The NEC is cautioning the public, mainly would – be Aspirants to know that absolutely there will no extension to the candidate nomination exercise deadline of Friday, 4 July 2025.
