The meeting, scheduled to conclude on Friday, June 20, focuses on leveraging investment to create sustainable jobs for young people in the sub-region.

Senator Edwin Snowe of Liberia urged delegates to engage actively, drawing inspiration from Liberia's recent election to the UN Security Council, during his opening remarks.

Alhagie Darbo, Chair of ECOWAS' Economic Committee, emphasized the need to translate investment into tangible job opportunities. Senate Pro Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence welcomed the delegation, reaffirming Liberia's commitment to regional cooperation and youth empowerment.

ECOWAS Ambassador Josephine Nkrumah advocated for enhanced coordination between national and regional bodies to improve policy outcomes.

Technical sessions will continue throughout the week, aiming to yield concrete recommendations to strengthen the ECOWAS Investment Policy.
